7-11 FERAL CATS.

It shall be unlawful for any person within the City of Clearlake to intentionally provide food, water or other forms of sustenance to a feral cat colony unless the person first obtains from the Director of Animal Care and Control a cat colony permit and agrees to the following conditions:

a. To daily feed the cat colony, including weekends and holidays.

b. To trap the cats over the age of eight (8) weeks and have them spayed or neutered.

c. To have all trapped cats tested for a feline leukemia and feline immune deficiency virus, and to have those who test positive humanely euthanized or isolated indoors.

d. Identify all trapped cats by tipping their ears.

e. Have all trapped cats vaccinated for rabies in addition to any other vaccination or immunization requirement required by state law. (Ord. #112-2005, S2)
