7-4 KENNELS AND COMMERCIAL ANIMAL FACILITIES.

Every person who is the legal owner or actually in control of or operates any of the following:

a. A kennel, commercial or otherwise;

b. A pet shop;

c. A riding or boarding stable;

d. A grooming shop;

e. A veterinary hospital;

f. An animal shelter must apply for and obtain a license therefor. Such licenses shall be issued by the Code Enforcement Officer subject to facility inspection, application review and approval by the Animal Control Officer. No fee shall be required for an animal shelter license, unless the shelter is also conducting another activity for which a fee is required. The fee for a noncommercial kennel shall be one-half (1/2) the fee for a commercial kennel. (Ord. #41, A5, S1)
